RN Shift Supervisor
Job DescriptionSupervises, directs and coordinates the activities of the hospital when the Administrator and department directors are not present. Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery on weekends, holidays and on the PM and Night Shift daily. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. Remains flexible to changing systems. Treats patients, families, visitors, peers and physicians with cnsideration and respect. Works well under stress or with tight deadlines. Communicates concerns appropriately using the established chain of command. Preferred SkillsEducation: Current California license as an RN. Experience: At least 2 years recent acute care experience as a supervisor and Emergency or ICU staff nurse, with demonstrated leadership abilities. Certifications: CPR, ACLS, PALS Skills/Ability: Excellent clinical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills preferred. Exhibits the ability to organize work assignments and follow through with accuracy. Exercises good judgment, demonstrates initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise. |
