Physical Therapist
Job DescriptionThis position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The staff physical therapist plans, coordinates and implements patient care on the assigned units. Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the unit’s standards of care. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical; treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Is able to interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age-specific needs and provide the care needed by the patient group. Must supervise department staff in absence of department director. Preferred SkillsPT with current valid California license. Experience: One year acute or OP Rehabilitative experience, new graduate may be considered. Cert/License: Current/valid PT License, CPR Certification and California Drivers license. Skills/Ability: Knowledge of physical therapy treatment to patients of all ages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits the ability to organize work assignments and follow through with accuracy; exercise good judgment; demonstrate initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise. |
