Visitor InformationWelcome
Our goal is to provide a professional healing environment. Each patient is allowed a maximum of two (2) visitors. If others would like to visit, please take turns. Please do not visit if you have a fever, a cold, a sore throat, the flu, or recently have been exposed to, but never had, chicken pox, measles, or mumps. This is a protection of your loved one and others who are hospitalized.

Visitor BadgesAll visitors must check in upon arriving, at which point, each visitor will receive a badge. All visitors MUST have a badge, no exceptions. WiFiLompoc Valley Medical Center is pleased to provide you and your guest FREE WiFi service. Using your wireless device, simply connect to LVMC-FreeNet. No logins, no passwords, and no dollars. PediatricsParents and grandparents may visit at any time. We encourage one parent to be with the child at all times. Healthy siblings may visit but please limit their visit to 30 minutes or less. Labor and DeliveryThe father or significant other may stay and visit at any time. Other visitors are welcome, but only two (2) at a time, please. Since the waiting area is small, you may be asked to wait in the Main Lobby when visiting the prospective mother. Visitors are welcome. The length of the visit may be adjusted by the nurse caring for the patient. The rooms are small and visitors are limited to two (2) at a time. There is a visitor restriction when shifts change. Those times are 6am to 7am and 6pm to 7pm. There is a waiting room and garden across from CCU for your use. Surgery WaitingFamily members waiting for either inpatients or outpatients may wait in the Surgery Waiting Room. Please let the nurse know who you are so you may be notified when the patient is out of surgery and so the surgeon may talk to you when the surgery is complete. The CafeThe Ocean's Seven Cafe is located at the southwest end of the building. Breakfast lunch and dinner are served all week long. The Cafe opens at 7am and closes at 7pm. Snacks are available when meals are not being served. There are also vending machines available outside the Emergency Department waiting room. Visit the Cafe Gift ShopThe hospital gift shop is located just off the main lobby. The shop is open durring normal hospital visiting hours and is run by volunteers from the Women's Auxiliary . Visit the Gift Shop Discharge PlanningPlanning for after hospital care will be started upon admission to the hospital. The services of a Case Manager/Discharge Planner are available to assist the patient and the family to determine their needs for discharge. |
