Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Available

Appointments are now available at myturn.ca.gov for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster being administered at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. The booster is available for those over the age of 65 and for high-risk individuals. 

Appointments are now available at myturn.ca.gov for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster being administered at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. The booster is available for those over the age of 65 and for high-risk individuals. 

Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be accommodated if space permits. 

Please note, the Pfizer series is the only vaccine currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for booster shots, at least 6 months after the second dose in the specified population. 

The Moderna vaccine is not currently approved for a booster shot, but immunocompromised people can get an additional (3rd) dose at least 28 days after their second shot.   

LVMC’s vaccination clinic will be open from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 for the Pfizer booster and Moderna additional doses. The vaccination clinic will be open from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Friday, Oct. 1, for first and second doses, Pfizer boosters, and Moderna additional doses. The clinic will be open from 4:30 to 6:30 pm Friday, Oct. 1 for Pfizer boosters and Moderna additional doses only.
