Lompoc Valley Medical Center is actively working to increase community access to a stable group of quality physicians. Several new primary-care and specialist physicians have been recruited to come to Lompoc.
Virna Veloso, MD
Dr. Veloso has almost 20 years of experience as an internist working with underserved populations. She earned her bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology at the University of California at Los Angeles and her medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of California at Davis. She completed her internal medicine residency and internship at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. She previously was a physician at Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics and Santa Barbara County Public Health. Dr. Veloso speaks English and Spanish. Dr. Veloso sees patients at Lompoc Valley Medical Center: Physician Services.
Sylvia Krzeminski, MD (Coming in early 2019)
An Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Krzeminski comes to LVMC from Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix, Arizona, where she was an Internal Medicine resident at the designated county hospital for the Phoenix and surrounding metropolitan areas.
Dr. Krzeminski earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2015. She earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the Molecular, Developmental and Cellular Biology Department from UCSB in 2011.
Mohammad Tabek Bakir, MD
Dr. Bakir is a pediatrician seeing patients at Lompoc Valley Medical Center: Physician Services. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the California State University at Northridge. Dr. Bakir earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica in 2014. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Iris Radler, MD
Dr. Radler is an obstetrician/gynecologist treating patients at Lompoc Valley Medical Center: Physician Services. Dr. Radler earned her undergraduate degree at Westmont College in Santa Barbara and completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She specializes in vaginal and cesarean delivery; obstetrical diagnostic procedures; family planning; hysterectomies; contraception management and prenatal care.
Lisa Ryavec, Certified Physician Assistant
Certified Physician Assistant Lisa Ryavec is seeing patients at 1225 North H St and has 22 years of healthcare experience. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in environmental biology from California State University at Northridge and a bachelor of science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Southern California. She has experience in internal medicine, rural medicine, urgent care, occupational medicine and previously worked as a contracted healthcare provider for the U.S. military.
Lesley Angle, Certified Physician Assistant
Lesley Angle is a Certified Physician Assistant who received her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She received training at The Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Galveston and was a Physician Assistant at the Grossman Burn Center, responsible for comprehensive treatment of inpatient and outpatient burn patients – pediatric and adult – at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. She also served as an assistant surgeon on all acute and reconstructive surgical cases in the burn unit.
Angie Song, MD (Coming in early 2019)
Dr. Song is an otolaryngologist, treating patients with complications, diseases, and disorders of the head and neck – including the ears, nose, and throat (ENT). A veteran of the US Army, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Irvine and her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1993. She completed her residency at Madigan Healthcare System and Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. She retired from the Army as a Major.
Richard Rooney, MD (Coming in early 2019)
Dr. Rooney is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor of science degree in nuclear engineering, he earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery training in the U.S. Army and held a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California at San Diego/San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders. He retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel.
Rosa Ital, MD
Dr. Rosa Ital is an internal medicine specialist seeing patients at LVMC:Physician Services. Dr. Ital graduated from Tehran University of Medical Science Medical School. She completed her residency at the Monmouth Medical Center Residency Hospital and practiced previously in New Jersey. She speaks English and Farsi.
