What is something people don’t know about you?
I speak Hmong at home.
What is on your bucket list?
I finally get to take the vacation I’ve never had. I’m going to Thailand with my husband in March.
Why did you choose your career?
I was motivated by my Grandma, whom I cared for. She was diagnosed with leukemia. She motivated me to go into nursing and this field (geriatrics). I was in high school, 16 years old. I would sleep at the hospital with her, and walk to high school, and come back at lunch. That’s why I stuck with this field for so long. These are someone else’s grandparents or parents
