Lompoc Health Orthopedist offers Free Lecture

Lompoc Health’s newest orthopedic surgeon will present a free lecture May 15 on rotator cuff injuries.

Dr. Justin K. Chang, who sees patients at Lompoc Health – North H Center, will give the lecture starting at 6 p.m. at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center. The lecture is part of the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation’s Community Education lecture series.

During his presentation, Dr. Chang will discuss the spectrum of rotator cuff injuries, from strains to complete tears. He will offer information on prevention, non-operative treatment options, surgical intervention with an emphasis on arthroscopic, minimally invasive surgery and recovery from injury or surgery.

He will also discuss physical therapy and injections and provide details about the advantages of arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Chang earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
