Hospital Volunteer Standards

• Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, bringing a wealth of life experience and maturity to our diverse team.
• Commitment: A commitment to a minimum of a 2-hour shift per week over six consecutive months ensures consistency and reliability in our volunteer support.
• Confidentiality and Compliance: Volunteers are required to abide by all patient confidentiality guidelines, uphold customer service expectations, and adhere to LVMC policies.
• Communication: Volunteers must have access to an email address, as our Volunteer Coordinator utilizes email as a primary means of communication with our dedicated team.
• Staff Meetings: Attendance at scheduled volunteer staff meetings fosters a sense of community and provides an opportunity for ongoing engagement.

Volunteer Dress Code

• We provide "Blue Coat" volunteer uniforms free of charge, ensuring a professional and cohesive appearance in all areas of the hospital.
• Volunteers are expected to follow the LVMC Dress Code guidelines, which are provided during training, to maintain a respectful and professional image.
