As of December 4, 2020, the Lompoc Valley Medical Center board members are as follows:
Lompoc Valley Medical Center (LVMC) is governed by the Ralph M. Brown Act. The Brown Act states that the people have the right of access to information concerning the conduct of the people’s business, and therefore, the meetings of public bodies and the writings of public officials and agencies shall be open to public scrutiny.
All meetings of the legislative body of a local agency shall be open and public, and all persons shall be permitted to attend any meeting of the legislative body of a local agency, with certain provisions.
LVMC will post public meetings regulated by the Brown Act at least 72 hours before the meeting. Special meetings may be called, but only upon 24 hours' notice to each local newspaper of general circulation, radio, or television station that has requested notice. The notice must be posted in an area freely accessible to the public.

LVMC Board members are publicly elected to four-year terms. Elections are held in the General Election of even-numbered years. In 2020, there will be 2 seats open for election. Board members may also be appointed by the LVMC Board if a Board vacancy occurs between election cycles. There is no limit on the number of terms an LVMC Board member may serve. However, the term of any member of the board of directors shall expire if he or she is absent from three consecutive regular meetings, or from three of any five consecutive meetings of the board and the board by resolution declares that a vacancy exists on the board.
LVMC Board members must be registered voters who reside within the Lompoc Healthcare District boundaries.
