Mark Cordes was elected to the LVMC Board of Directors in November 2024. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. He is currently First Vice President of Operations for CoastHills Credit Union, where he has worked since 2016. Cordes has expertise in project management, consumer loans and collections.
He and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of three children, all of whom were born at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Cordes is also a volunteer on the board of Village Hills Little League and in the past was an assistant football coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
