Lompoc Health – North Third Center has been named the top Family Practice Performer in both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties by CenCal Health.
CenCal Provider Services Representative Cathy Slaughter recently presented the award to a group of physicians and staff at the practice, formerly known as Valley Medical Group, at 136 N. Third St. The award was for top 2018 Family Practice Performer in the organization’s incentive program.
CenCal Health administers the Medi-Cal program in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. There are approximately 1,100 CenCal members using Lompoc Health for primary care needs.
The award recognizes practices from throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties for providing high-quality healthcare. In part, Lompoc Health – North Third Center was honored for enabling CenCal Health members to have access to preventative care visits.
“I am so pleased to share that Lompoc Health - North Third Center, formerly Valley Medical Group of Lompoc, has received the Top PCP Performer Incentive Program award for the third year in a row,” said Terri Howell, CenCal’s Director of Provider Services. “A provider receives this top award for providing necessary wellness services for our CenCal Health Members. Lompoc Health has continued to demonstrate its focus on improving the health and wellness of our members. They are a valuable partner of CenCal Health, and I appreciate their dedication in providing care to our most vulnerable citizens in the communities we serve.”
Paul Fry, Lompoc Health Director of Ambulatory Services, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
“CenCal Health has been a tremendous leader in respect to providing access, authorizations and support in order to continue serving their patients,” Fry said. “It is great to have their partnership and be recognized by CenCal with this award for the third year in a row. The family medicine providers are quick to recognize the efforts of Nancy Hummer, the site clinical manager at the North Third Center. Her efforts have been steadfast to maintain availability and smooth processes at VMG and throughout the transition to North Third Center.”
