Effective July 13, 2020,
Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Santa Barbara County, the California Department of Public Health and Santa Barbara County Public Health Department have implemented new hospital restrictions regarding visitors at all area hospitals.
With only a few exceptions, hospital visitors are now prohibited from entering LVMC (and other hospitals in Santa Barbara County) in an effort to slow the community transmission rate.
Exceptions to this visitation restriction are pediatric patients, patients who are in labor, patients who are at end-of-life, patients with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities, and patients with cognitive impairments. If you have any questions, please call 805-737-3300.
The visitation restrictions apply to all areas, including the emergency department, outpatient, and inpatient areas, Ocean’s Seven Café, and waiting rooms.
Everyone will continue to be screened before entry to Lompoc Valley Medical Center. All permitted support persons must stay in the patient's room and be asymptomatic for COVID-19 and not be a suspected or recently confirmed case.
Lompoc Valley Medical Center is sensitive to the stress the COVID-19 pandemic situation places on patients and their families. The recovery of our patients and the protection of our healthcare workers during the pandemic is our highest priority. The actions taken by the California Department of Public Health are taken to protect your loved ones and all healthcare workers.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation with this order.
