Breast Cancer Awareness, 2016

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, LVMC will be offering a $95 cash-only Screening Mammogram throughout October.

The special includes a screening mammogram, interpretation by a radiologist and a CAD analysis.

The special is for a screening mammogram only; patients with existing symptoms do not qualify.

In order to receive the special, patients must see their physician for a breast exam and screening mammogram order.

The physician must write “October Special” on the mammogram order, or during scheduling, the patient should mention they would like the October Special.

According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetimes, with more than 246,660 cases are expected to be diagnosed this year in the U.S., along with 61,000 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer. Although women are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer, men are also at risk.
