Are you the kind of homeowner who goes all-out at Christmas? Do Santas hang from every corner, and decorations abound as your home is transformed into a winter wonderland?
Are you the keeper of a family collection of special ornaments, or hand-made decorations?
Do you just love Christmas, and want everyone to know about it?
If so, the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation would like to invite you to open up your home for the annual Holiday Home Tour and Candlelight tea.
This popular event takes place on Sunday, Dec. 9 throughout the Lompoc Valley. The self-guided tour for ticket-holders takes place from 12:30 to 5 p.m., with volunteer docents placed throughout the homes to assist with visitors.
The event also includes a traditional holiday tea at Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s Oceans Seven Café, featuring gourmet appetizers and delectable desserts.
The non-profit public benefit Lompoc Hospital District Foundation was incorporated Sept. 12, 1990 with a goal of promoting health education in the community, raising funds to purchase critically needed medical technology or equipment and educating the public about the hospital’s services, facilities and programs.
Through its special events, Foundation members have raised more than $3.1 million, with a total fundraising effort of almost $10 million in the past quarter-century. The Foundation is currently in the midst of a $2 million capital campaign to pay for the renovation of rooms at the Comprehensive Care Center, the skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility run by Lompoc Valley Medical Center.
Proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour and Candlelight Tea will be used toward that fundraising effort.
If you are interested in offering your home for the tour, please contact the Foundation at (805) 736-4005.
