Incident at LVMC

This morning at 6:45 am, an unknown individual approached a local physician at Lompoc Valley Medical Center as he was readying to enter the acute hospital at the rear entrance of the building.
The individual assaulted the physician and attempted to rob him. Officers with the Lompoc Police Department responded to the incident, and the suspect is now in custody. Police officers remain at the hospital completing their investigation.
The physician is being treated and evaluated.
