Expanding Healthcare Access in Our Community

As we approach the sixth month of patient care at Lompoc Health – North H Center, we are working diligently to ensure our community has comprehensive access to primary and specialty care. We continue to recruit healthcare providers who want to live and work in our community, while also expanding services — such as adding a centralized call center — to ensure our patients receive timely, efficient medical treatment.

Urgent Care

Sometimes, when it comes to health care, you just can’t wait for a scheduled primary care appointment. In some cases, your medical problem might not rise to the level of needing an emergency room. With that in mind, starting May 25, Lompoc Health – North H Center will offer same-day, scheduled Urgent Care services 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

At North H Center, the Urgent Care exam rooms are located on the first floor and are currently open from am to 9 pm during the week. By Memorial Day weekend, appointments may be made every day of the week for same-day care.

But please note, if you are a former Sansum HMO patient, you will still receive your laboratory services at Pacific Diagnostic Labs, rather than at Lompoc Health.

Physical Therapy

The staff at North H Center provide outpatient physical therapy for the treatment of orthopedic, neurological and deconditioning deficits. Our therapy clinic includes two licensed physical therapists. Our rehabilitation secretary and aide manages registration, authorizations and schedules appointments at the front desk as well as assisting the therapists in their treatments.

Autumn Soltero is the staff physical therapist and has a history of working with complex and critically ill patients in both the acute and subacute rehabilitation settings. Autumn holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences and has worked with neurologically impaired patients recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.

Physical Therapist Kaylee Rains obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at California State University at Fresno and has been a certified physical therapist since 2016. She has provided rehab services to patients with orthopedic, neurological and deconditioning deficits.

Rosa Macias is the department’s rehabilitation secretary and Aide and has worked in the physical therapy field for more than 20 yrs. When she is not registering or helping patients at the front desk, she is assisting the physical therapists in the back office.

This dynamic team works hard to achieve the goals set together by the therapist and patient upon initial evaluation.

Pediatrics

For everything from well-child checkups, vaccinations, and common childhood ailments and injuries, our pediatric staff at North H Center is prepared for the care of our youngest patients.

Longtime pediatrician Dr. Farooq Husayn is joined by Dr. Abhishek Mehta on the first-floor pediatric wing at North H Center. Adding to this care is Nurse Practitioner Sherry McBride.
