Free Senior Health Expo in Lompoc on May 3

Health checks, fall prevention tips, community resources, cooking demonstrations and more will be offered May 3, 2024 at the free annual Lompoc Senior Health Expo.
Sponsored by the City of Lompoc Parks and Recreation Division and the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation, the Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center. The center is located at 1120 W. Ocean Ave. and ample parking is available.
Dozens of vendors representing organizations, businesses, agencies and health care centers will be on hand. The participants include Coast Caregiver Resource Center, County of Santa Barbara Behavioral Wellness, Care Connection Transport Services, Vandenberg Village Lions Club, Central Coast Home Health and Hospice, Valley Haven, Savie Health, Transitions – Mental Health Association and Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s Comprehensive Care Center, among many others.
This year’s Gold Sponsor is CommUnify and the Silver Sponsor is Lompoc Skilled and Nursing Rehabilitation. Bronze Sponsors for this year are Assisted Home Health, Care Connection Central Coast, Santa Barbara Foundation and California Retina Consultants.
Supporting agencies include the LVCHO, Family Service Agency, City of Lompoc, Alzheimer’s Association, Coast Caregiver Resource Center, 1 Heart Caregiver Services and Route 1 Farmers Market.
In addition to numerous raffles and giveaways, there will be free health checks offered, including blood pressure and cholesterol tests.
A free lunch, while supplies last, will be available for attendees.
