In this presentation, Lompoc Health’s Dr. Justin K. Chang will discuss how he diagnoses patients with knee and hip arthritis, also known as osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones in a joint wears away. Symptoms include pain, stiffness, swelling and difficulty moving the joint.
During the presentation, Dr. Chang will discuss:
Types and treatment of arthritis
How to manage arthritis pain
Non-operative treatments/injections
Minimally-invasive Arthroscopy
Technological advancements in joint replacement
Dr. Justin K. Chang is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Lompoc Health – North H Center. Dr. Chang earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and was reared in Florida. He has extensive experience treating orthopedic injuries and specializes in shoulder, hip and knee replacements, tendon and ligament repairs, non-operative treatment/injections for arthritis and treating numerous sports-related injuries.
