High School Teen Volunteer Program
Are you a compassionate and driven high school student, eager to positively
impact your community? Look no further! Lompoc Valley Medical Center invites
you to join our High School Teen Volunteer Program—an enriching
opportunity for students aged 15 and above to contribute to the well-being
of others while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
General Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- Minimum age of 15 years.
- Submit a completed application to Human Resources (incomplete applications
will not be considered).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50, including a copy of your current transcript.
- Provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher or academic counselor
(forms included in the application packet).
- Commit to a minimum of one 2-hour shift per week for three months (with
the option for more shifts).
- Attend a personal interview with our dedicated Volunteer Services staff
(scheduled after completed applications are reviewed).
- Participate in the High School Teen Volunteer Orientation to complete safety
and privacy policy paperwork.
Vaccination Requirements:
- Submit a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Card with one booster dose or
complete an exemption form provided by the Human Resources Department.
- Provide an immunization record, including a flu shot record or a declination
form available through the Human Resources Department.
- Undergo a required T.B. test, administered at no cost by Lompoc Valley
Medical Center. A consent form for the test will be provided in the application packet.
