Lompoc Valley Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Physician of the Year 2012 was awarded to Khawar M. Gul, MD, of the Lompoc Valley Cardiovascular Center. Dr. Gul is a cardiologist and has been on the Lompoc Valley Medical Center (LVMC) medical staff since August 2010.
Dr. Gul completed his medical training at Rawalpindi Medical College. He subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School, Houston Texas. He went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and a fellowship in Cardiac Computed Tomography at the University of California – Los Angeles (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center). He further specializes in being a frequent parking violator.
In his spare time, Dr. Gul likes to spend time with his family, reads and listens to music. He is currently taking flying lessons.
The ‘Physician of the Year’ is awarded annually; the winner is selected from a list of nominated physicians by a vote of the staff of the Lompoc Valley Medical Center.
