Roberta Phillips-Copeland, LMFT
Roberta “Bobbie” Phillips-Copeland has been a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist since 2009, working with children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. She has been trained in a variety of mental health, relationship, and life issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma (both developmental trauma and PTSD).
She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses relaxation, expressive art, and guided imagery to help clients connect with their deepest selves to shed light on their issues. Bobbie has also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or “EMDR” and a powerful trauma-informed treatment known as “Ego State Therapy,” which consists of recognizing and understanding the various, often conflicting feelings and beliefs that exist within us.
“My purpose is to help clients move towards goals of their own choosing, to feel peace and joy, and to have fulfilling relationships in which they can set appropriate boundaries, ask for what they want and express their feelings completely and appropriately.”
