Our Behavioral Health Program is fully integrated into the Lompoc Health outpatient clinics, with access to a comprehensive array of physician specialists able to assist with behavioral assessments, treatment, medication management, behavioral therapy, and more.
Each Lompoc Health patient seen by our Behavioral Health Specialist will undergo a full assessment to determine the most effective and efficient path to wellness. In full communication with your primary care physician or specialist, our care team will create an effective treatment program tailored to your needs, with guidance toward collaborative programs in the community offering resources, aid, and more.
In collaboration with your physician and care team, our Behavioral Health Clinicians will ensure you have the support you need navigating the channel of resources, with a goal of providing solutions and treatment for your mental and emotional health needs.
Our Behavioral Health Specialist, Michael Dixon, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is based at Lompoc Health – North H Center. He previously worked in LVMC’s Case Management Department, assisting with discharge planning, care coordination, therapeutic intervention, and staff education on mental health. Michael has extensive experience working with patients in crisis, having worked on the Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness' crisis team from 2014-2021. He is an EMDR-trained therapist and has advanced training in motivational interviewing.
